We are so excited to welcome you on your law school journey.
Orientation 2023
-
Community
The University of Victoria Faculty of Law prides itself on being a faculty focused on community. Our Orientation program seeks to bring students together across years of study to help students learn from and connect with each other.
-
Inclusion
At the University of Victoria, we believe everyone has their place in the legal field. During Orientation, you will have the opportunity to sign up for clubs and societies that match your interests, as well as network with employers from a broad range of legal disciplines from Day 1.
-
Fun
Law school can be demanding, and establishing work life balance early on is key. Our Orientation program includes fun activities like trivia, yoga, billiards, cidery tours, a Carnival, and our signature Gala event to kick the year off right!
Schedule of Events
Orientation will last from September 5th through 17th, 2023. Each day will be filled with fun activities, focusing on community building, law school 101, and having fun with your new classmates!

Law Buddies
Every year, the LSS runs our Law Buddies program, where we match incoming students with upper year students who can help answer your questions about UVic Law and support you on your journey.
This year, we are also excited to announce our Coffee Chat Program! Looking for a way to break the ice with your Buddy? Sign up at the link below to receive a coffee gift card to help facilitate your first discussion.
